Jaycee's First Christmas

Jaycee got to have more than enough Christmas's.  We are blessed to have all our family around here.  I already posted the first Christmas at Justin's Granny & Papaw's.  Next we had Christmas at Grumps and Nonni's on Christmas Eve morning.

Next we had a Christmas at my Uncle Erith's on the afternoon of Christmas Eve.  Jaycee hanging out with Trish and Auntie Dev.

On Christmas morning we stayed home and had Christmas at our house with Pappy, Auntie Dev, and Grandma Cherry.  Jaycee opening her gifts.
Jaycee's favorite gift (other than paper), this sheep, that she kept head butting and trying to eat.  It was so cute.  She'd just bury her head in it.

Jaycee's first Christmas was a white one and it snowed almost the whole day.

Ho, Ho, Ho...Waah

On Tuesday we took Jaycee to see Santa along with the Cains'.  This is a before picture of the kids all dressed up.

This is such a sweet picture of Daltyn, Breely, and Aspyn with Santa.
And then we added Jaycee to the mix.  She was fine here.  This is the best picture we could get of Jaycee.
And then....Her eyes wandered up to who was holding her...
And the meltdown occured!  For some reason she did NOT like Santa.
She kind of calmed down for a few a second when he handed her a candy cane, but not for long.
So then Santa just snuck up behind her to take a picture and she was fine until I think she had the feeling someone was breathing on her and she slowly looked up and WAAH!  She just did not like Santa.  If only she knew that he was bringing her some presents on Sunday.

So I have kind of got addicted to Pinterest.  Today I decided I had better get Jaycee's First Christmas ornament made since time is running out.  So I tried to make a handprint ornament like I had seen on Pinterest.  It really did not turn out too bad, at least I don't think it did.  It was definitely not as easy as it looked to make with a 7 month old who did not want to just let me stamp her hand with the paint on it.  But we did finally get one made.

And this is the footprint tree I wanted to make that I had seen on Pinterest as well.  This was a little bit easier to make but not much.

Christmas Time is Here...Already?!

Christmas is less than a week away!  Where has the year gone?  Jaycee has grown and changed so much in just the past week.  In one week she went from her 6 month pjs to 9 months. How does that happen?? I think she woke up one morning and could sit on her own.  No more boppy pillow for her.  In one week she began eating double the baby food she was.  One night she would never even try to move from where she was, and then the next morning she was rolling across the room and trying to scoot on the carpet.  By scoot I mean, bottom in the air, head on the floor, and inch her way around, then get mad and just roll around.

 These are our Christmas pictures!

We are all but moved into our new house and this little cutie (Aspyn) and some others came to visit the other night.
The girls had so much fun just hanging out playing with there toys.
I cannot believe they are the same age and Aspyn weighs about 2 pounds more than Jaycee.

This past weekend we had our first Christmas at Justin's Granny and Papaw's in Bovina.  Here's the kids lined up with there gifts.
Jaycee was very interested in everyone's gift wrapping skills.
Daddy helping Jaycee open her present.
Jaycee and Addison playing with her new puppy.
Landon and Jaycee.  Landon is such a sweet little boy.  He played with Jaycee quite a bit.  Jaycee has a growling voice and she was growling at everyone; Landon goes over to Jaycee and says, "No, no baby Jaycee. No growling."  It was the cutest thing ever!
So we have one Christmas down and about 4 to go...

Viva Las Vegas!

The first week of December we went to Vegas for the Finals.  This year we decided to fly ourselves so we had to leave a day early and come home a day later because of the weather.  It was a four hour flight to Laughlin, where we flew into which was only an hour drive from Vegas.  We had a ton of fun and I'll just let the pictures tell the story because this may be a lengthy blog.

I turned my shutter speed up on my camera and finally caught two of the arms on the propeller.

The next few pictures are before and afters (on our way out to Vegas and on our way home from Vegas)

Jaycee the first night we were in Laughlin practicing our sitting up, which she can sent pretty well now I might add.

This is what Jaycee looked like every night when we would go out because it was so cold there!
She was just in awe of all the lights and people.  She never made much expression, but she sure did study everything.
Auntie Dev and Aaron doing the Zip-Line down Freemont Street.  Me, Justin, Aaron, and Charles went earlier that day but I don't have the picture on the computer now.
On our way back to Laughlin we stopped by the Hoover Dam because we had never been.  (Well Justin had been once when he was little, but he really didn't remember much)
This was as close as we could get to getting all three of us in a picture there.  Sorry Jaycee for cutting you off!

Such a sweet picture of Jaycee and her Daddy!
Back at Laughlin waiting on the rest of the crew to get there and go eat.
