Gummy smile...not for long!

I cannot believe this little sweetie is getting TEETH!  Already!  It seems so weird to me.  I feel like she should not be getting them til she is almost 1 year old, but I guess I'm way wrong.  Her bottom front two teeth are trying to come in.  I constantly check and feel to see if I am just imagining this.  But I do see two little lines and you can feel them so I guess I'm not imagining it.  She also has been super awake lately, drooling, and yesterday afternoon she was really fussy.

But today she sure has been happy!  Too bad I couldn't get a pic of her gums.

Rockstar!

Shelby entertained her this afternoon.  She was all smiles.

I guess she must be feeling better because she has just been the happiest baby all day today.  I sure hope we're over that teething for now.  I didn't like her hurting...poor thing.

2 Months...Already!

I'm going to go ahead and warn you now that this is going to be a little out of order, but I just cannot get over the fact that our little girl is now 2 months old!  It does not seem possible.  Me and Devanee took her to the doctor for her two month checkup last week.  Jaycee had to get 4 shots! (yikes!)  I was so nervous about her shots, but she only cried for a minute and was fine, but it was the first time I had ever seen teardrops come out of her eyes so I pretty much wanted to cry because I know they must have hurt.  The poor thing.  I'm happy to say that Miss Jaycee is growing great and now weighs almost 10 pounds and is 23 inches long!
Devanee giving Jaycee a kiss after her long day.  See her war wound on her leg.  Hehe she got "The Hulk" bandaids. (too cute!)
Last weekend us and Jaycee went to our friends, Jordan and Erin's, engagement party.  They are getting married in Jamaca next week and we unfortunately will not be able to make that trip.  Jaycee was such a party animal and was completely worn out by the time we got home.  She stayed awake the entire time, I think she was afraid she'd miss something.

Here are just a few of her 2 month pictures that I took last week.  I'm afraid the poor child is going to have no memories of her first two months of life. Lol.
Sorry but I just had to put all these pictures on here.  She is just too adorable not to.

I was so sad that she was not a fan of be stuck in a flower pot because I just know they could have made the cutest pictures ever.  She still looks pretty cute though even if she isn't smiling.

This is where this post gets so out of order.  At the very first of the month our cousins, Kyle & Courtney, and their daughter, Leighton, got to some in for a visit.  Leighton was so sweet with Jaycee.  She wanted to give her kisses.
Shane also was able to come in and it was so nice to get to see all of them since we never get to see them.  We're missing Elliott, Cherry, & Lofton but at least we get to see them in a couple weeks :)
The first weekend in the month Jaycee got to go to her first wedding of our friends, Kris & Tonya.
Family photo at the wedding.  It was so hot that day, I think Jaycee was miserable, but it was a beautiful wedding.
Justin with Jaycee on the 4th of July!

We had a cookout at our house for the 4th of July and Jaycee had her first horrible night.  I guess I must have ate something she did not like the night before because she just cried and screamed ad screamed for hours.  I did not know what to do and I felt ssooooo bad for her.  It was horrible.  She had never had a night like that or ever acted anything like that before.  We have been so lucky she has just been the best baby ever.  We finally gave her bath and got her to go to bed and amazingly she just slept fine.  But it was the cutest thing ever...Breely was holding Jaycee's hand while she was crying laying beside her.  It was so sweet.
But as Jaycee has not acted like that since.  She has really been such a happy little baby lately and having lots of smiles!  She has been sleeping through the night for about two weeks now, which is so nice!  She is also more active, alert, and awake more during the day.  It is just so much fun to watch her grow and change each day, but also sad because I'm not sure I want her to grow up so fast!
Sorry this post was so long too.  I'll really try not to let it get so long and out of control next time :)

Back to Reality

Last week we left on Father's Day to go to Breckenridge, Colorado for a few days.  It has been miserable here for the past few months.  We were sick of the 100 degree days with the 50 mph wind and watching the dirt blow.  Justin flew us to Denver which only took us 2 hours by the way, which was awesome and then rented a car and drove to Breckenridge.  We came home Wednesday night and then it was back to not just 100 degree days but 109 degree days! Ugh! Oh well the vacation was nice while it lasted.
Justin's first Father's Day!

This is the cabin we stayed at.  It was so beautiful.

We woke up Monday morning to see SNOW!  They got 4-6 inches that day.  It was just incredible.

My screaming child that looks adorable.  I had set her in her little bouncer (key word set) while I was getting ready and then when I looked over to see why she was crying she somehow had worked her way up to standing in her bouncer!  I just kinda found that impressive.  But it looks like we are getting closer to having to strap her into things now.

My sweet little owl.

Jaycee with her little bear we got her.  She pretty much wore her owl hat everyday.  I was just so excited it was cold enough there to let her wear it!

Gorgeous mountains on our way to Leadville.  Leadville isn't very far away from Breckenridge and they have an airport there but it is the highest airport in North America so we wanted to check it out in case we ever come back and want to fly in there.

I love these two!  We pretty much just hung out and relaxed the entire time we were there.  It was so nice.

Water! And green!  I doubt anyone from around here know what those are but they do exist, I have proof!  It was so nice to see everything so green and water running everywhere.  I usually hate the mountains and are ready to come home but not this time.  I was sad to come home.

Happy Birthday Jaycee!

I cannot believe that Jaycee is already 1 month old!  Yesterday was her 1 month birthday.  She partied pretty hard can't you tell.

Yesterday Jaycee got to go feed the cows and ride in the truck for the first time.  Then our day consisted of getting BBQ since it was thursday, visiting our Aunt Kalee and getting this super cute tooth pillow that her mom made Jaycee for when she starts losing teeth to put under her pillow for the tooth fairy.  Allow I really don't want to even think about her getting that old, it is the cutest thing I've ever seen.  I'll have to take a picture of it and put it up.

So for the past month Jaycee has basically just slept and ate, but as the month went on she now stays awake just a little bit longer during the afternoon and she is playing with/watching her toys that dangle.  She still loves to sit in her bouncer and she has began to not mind her swing quite so bad.  She is beginning to take her pacifier just a little better which still isn't very good.  We made the mistake of not giving it to her til she was almost 2 weeks old because we didn't want her to be one of those kids that are 3 and still sucking on a pacifier, but then we decided she needed it because she was overeating and to get rid of the hiccups.  Well now we fight it everytime we need to take the pacifier and it just takes forever so maybe we'll get better at that.  Last night I did discover that if you put socks on her hands she will suck on the pacifier much better and way longer because the little stinker can't reach up there and block her mouth or reach up and pull it out.  (She doesn't normally wear socks on her hands, just last night her little hands were cold so I put them on her)

Well we survived one month so I guess since I can't stop her from growing up I'm ready to see what the next one brings and how much she grows and changes!

This is a little old and out of order but Monday she was 4 weeks and we had to document that.

Now I know nobody really cares about anything but Jaycee, but I just had to take a picture of our beautiful no-till cotton.  This is the first cotton crop we have ever had and as of right now I think it just looks wonderful.

Up, up, and away!

The past week has been quite eventful for little miss Jaycee.  Last Sunday June 5, was Jaycee's first time to church.  This is her before we left to church.  Sorry all her pictures are in her carseat but I never remember to take a picture 'til we are about to load up in the car.

Jaycee was 3 weeks old on June 6.
I didn't want to look at that number 3 either!

Playing on her playmat last week.  She has really started to play with the toys it is so cute.  She kicks and pulls on them.

Griengo is still trying to get her to play ball.  The look on Jaycee's face is like "Man this dog just can't figure it out that I am not going to throw that ball for him and I really don't want that nasty thing beside me."

Now for the big milestone we had this past week.  On Friday night Justin took us flying for the first time.  She just slept the whole time.  She didn't mind the ride at all.

After we landed she was just hanging out.

There's a First Time for Everything

With our first child comes many firsts in her and our lives.  She has just been the best baby ever and I know that our next kid will probably be the worst!  I know she is spoiling us now.

This was waiting on Daddy to go for our first trip around the farm to see the cotton, corn, and cattle.
(5 days old)

1st outing which was to Leal's to eat for Grandpa Floyd's birthday.  (5/26/11 - 10 days old)

1st Tummy time which she is holding her head up amazingly well.  She looked like she was doing pushups for a while.  She also is already crawling!  Ok more like scooting inch by inch but it is so cute.  She gets so mad and frustrated that she can't go anywhere and she looks like she's just swimming in place.  (6/1/11 - 2 weeks, 2 days)

Here she is with Auntie Dev after our 1st doctor visit for the day which she had gained 13 ounces since she was born.  She weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 21 inches long.  (6/1/11)

1st real shopping trip in Amarillo.  She was so excited to be going to Babies R Us, can't you tell.  Her foot is wrapped up from her PKU which she did so awesome at.  She did not even cry, I was closer to crying than her but yet she did cry when we had to buckle up in our carseat afterwards. (6/1/11)

1st real bath in our super cute whale bathtub!  (6/2/11 - 2 weeks 3 days)

Daddy Justin has been drilling haygrazer and he let us girls ride with him last night.

1st Tractor ride with Justin planting haygrazer.  She loved the tractor she looked around for a while and then just slept.  It won't be long before she's the one driving the tractor! (6/3/11 - 2 weeks, 4 days)

This picture isn't a first but this morning she was so cute matching her blanket and crashed out.  She's had a long week!
