Weekend Fun

Last weekend we actually had something to do on both Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday we went to Aspyn and Breely Cain's birthday party.
Breely and Jaycee playing in the floor.
Breely & Jaycee playing with their bracelets instead of wearing them.
Jaycee had a lot of fun!
Jaycee with Princess Devanee.  It was a princess party and Devanee was supposed to be Cinderella but we had some issues with a Cinderella dress so Devanee just had to be the head Princess!
Most of the little ones there with Princess Devanee
Devanee with the two birthday girls
Jaycee talking to Bostyn (Toby & Mindi Thornton's little boy)
Aspyn giving Jaycee a hug thanking her for her gift. So sweet.
 Jaycee with Auntie Dev
 Family Pic
 Jaycee and Mommy
Then on Sunday we had some of our friends over for a Super Bowl party.  We really aren't all into football so we just enjoyed getting to hang out and eat a lot of food.  Uncle Jakey got Jaycee's wagon (what she got for Christmas) fixed and brought it over.  So we had to try it out real quick even though it was kind of cold.

Jaycee and Aspyn got to play.

They even got to take a bath together.  Which I'm not so sure that was a good idea.  It was quite an interesting experience hehe.
And of course I didn't take any other pictures of anyone else at the party except the two cuties.

Perfect Ending to the Day

Even on a long day when I get to give this little cutie a bath, it just makes the day perfect.  Even if Mommy gets peed on and ends up soaked after the bath, I just love it!   I mean how can you not love this face?
Jaycee's favorite thing to do is take a bath and even if she is tired and fussy, she still gets super excited and squeals, splashes, and plays in her bath.

FYI: The bubbles are coming from her bath toy that sings and blows bubbles.  Its pretty cool.

Adding 1 More to the Family

We're adding another member to the family...and no it is not a little brother or sister for Jaycee!  We are not quite ready for that yet.  I was so excited that Jaycee finally learned to crawl, but....now I'm second thinking that!  I cannot get anything done except during nap time.  She is all over the place and into everything!  I am so proud of her but oh my she is so fast now and I cannot keep my floors clean enough or cords and magazines picked up enough.  She can destroy a pile of magazines faster than anything.  So we decided to get something not quite so destructive as Jaycee. (He's not yet, anyways)

Meet Little Joe
Little Joe is an Angolian (think that's right) puppy.  He is 9 weeks old and will be the size of Hoss but just with less hair.  He's not supposed to roam like Hoss so hopefully he will work out.  He is the cutest thing and is super sweet.  You are probably wandering what happened to Hoss.  Well he lived at our new house for a month and then ran back home (which is about 8 miles away).  I cannot believe he found his way back but he did.  So now our neighbor and Devanee will share him.  We are still super sad about Hoss, and we do get to see him often, but we got a new friend for Whiskey.

Jaycee and Lil' Joe meeting
 He's already bigger than her.
Jaycee already loves him.  She is such an animal lover!
 We can't forget about Griengo.

And we better not forget about Whiskey.  She loves Jaycee.  I LOVE this picture!

Lil Joe has been doing so good so far.  He basically just stays in the yard or on the porch.  He is kind of lazy which I like.  Hopefully he won't be too destructive...

On the Go

Jaycee has been such a little character lately.  Everyday she does something new and keeps gaining so much personality.  It is so fun!  She is such a mess.  She wants to be on the floor and moving at all times it seems like.  You cannot hardly hold her without her trying to leap out of your arms, she has to strapped in her carseat at all times or she will abandon ship, and she has to be strapped (both legs) into her swing as well.  The day before this first picture was taken I only had one leg strapped in like I normally do lately and I turned around and she had face planted on the floor with her one leg still strapped in.  It was so funny at the time and really sad too because well she did bonk her head after all on the hard floor.

Here she is teasing Griengo while she is eating her puffs.  Griengo knows that eventually she is going to drop one, and he'll get it.
Jaycee is starting to get better at the sippy cup when she doesn't just want to chew on the spout.  She loves wagon wheels and those little puffs.
Jaycee also loves her red bucket!  Everyday, all day, we constantly pick up toys and put in the bucket just so she can pick them out, one by one, and then play with the bucket.  I finally caught her on camera with it on her head.
 Silly Girl!
Now for the main story!  Jaycee is now crawling!  She is officially mobile, as if she wasn't all ready with the rolling, but now we can roll and then crawl.  She is by no means a professional yet, but she can definitely crawl.  It is pretty exciting and sad at the same time...
She loves paper! So all you have to do is throw a magazine, remote, or phone in the floor and she will go after it.
On Saturday Jaycee was not even trying to crawl.  She would maybe get up on all fours once a day, but would do nothing.  She did not even seem interested in the idea.  All she wanted to do was roll.  Then that night Breely and Aspyn were over playing with Jaycee.  Breely (Cain baby) can just almost walk and Aspyn (Fickling baby) has been trying to crawl for a month now and just looks like any minute she'll take off.  So Sunday afternoon Jaycee just all of a sudden popped up and decided she would crawl to go get something.  It is so crazy, but it seems like everytime Breely or Aspyn has been over then the next day Jaycee will do something new.
She may have crawled Sunday also because she got to hang out with Emmery Meeks in the nursery that morning at church who is a one year old.  Jaycee has only had to go to the nursery twice in her life at church and it is not because she is a bad baby, but she kind of really gets into church.  Most the time she only sings (at the top of her lungs) during the songs, but on Sunday she busted out in a few solos so she had to go to the nursery.  Which I think was probably good for her to be able to play with other kids and me and Justin can pay better attention in church without sitting there worrying about Jaycee being loud.
Jaycee is also becoming more vocal everyday.  She now says "Da-da" ALL DAY LONG.  It is really cute actually.  She has also said "bye-bye", "nap", "hi", "yeah" and last night she said "Dev".  She does not say any of those words randomly except "da-da".  She also is waving backwards now.  As in she has her hand facing her and opening and closing it.
I cannot wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for us.  I'm sure she'll say or do something new soon!

Little Model

This morning Jaycee had to help Mommy and Nonni move cows so I thought since she had to work this morning that after her 3 1/2 hour nap we should do something fun.  So...Jaycee got to get naked and take some 8 month pictures!  So fun for her and me!
I love her eyes in this picture!
Love, love, love this picture!
And we can't take pictures without getting to wear a tutu at some point

Had to try to copy a picture I had seen on Pinterest.  Love that site!

Daddy's Little Girl

On Saturday, there was a BBQ at the airport so we all went to that to meet the new airport manager (and because Justin likes to hangout there).  I, of course, was all for it because I didn't have to cook.  Is that bad?  I just really hate cooking now.  I used to love it and now I despise it.  Anyways that's another story.
Daddy with his little co-pilot, Jaycee (and Mr. Squeakers)

Jaycee hanging out in her stroller like such a big little girl.  She is working on her top teeth so she's been drooling like crazy and chewing on everything.  I lover he little smirk looking grin in this picture.  She has these faces quite often and I just know she's thinking up something mischievous to do.

Today, our little baby turned 8 months old!  I cannot believe she is already this old.  It just does not seem possible.  And I know that before I know it she will be graduating high school (definitely do not want to think about that!).
At 8 months:  She is obviously sitting like a big girl.
 - Rolls all over the place.  No she will NOT crawl.  She pushes up on all four once in a while, gets mad, and then rolls.
- She is starting to get hair.  Yay!
 - Loves Griengo!  Jaycee thinks he is just so funny.  She loves to chase him around the house and just laughs and laughs at him.  She also loves to grab his hair and feet.  She would much rather play with his toys than hers.
-And Jaycee loves her Daddy!  I cannot believe I almost forgot this.  This morning she said "Da-da" for the first time.  So I got super excited (and super upset she didn't say Momma but oh well, hehe) and called Justin and he rushed home to see her.  Well during that time she said "da-da" about 4 times total and then hasn't said it since and he didn't get to see her.  I think Justin thinks I was making it up, but I am sure she said that this morning.  It was so cute.  Jaycee is so much fun and becoming such a character.  I just cannot wait to see what each day will bring with her.

New Year brings New Changes

For New Years Eve we went to our friends, Tanner and LaDonna's.  Jaycee got to play with Aspyn, Kaylee, and Meryn.  I can't believe this is the only picture I took the whole night but it is.
Then on New Year's Day we ate lunch with Nonni and Grumps and Jaycee decided to make a Coca Cola advertisement ad.  Hehe she looked so cute with her outfit and the coke bottle.
Again we did not take many pictures of this holiday.  That night my side of the family came over for a New Year's supper which we took a total of zero pictures, sorry.
And I'm sure people are wondering when I am ever going to mention or post pictures of our new house.  It has already been a month since we moved in and we are loving it.  I'm sure everyone who even reads this blog knows what our house looks like since we moved into my Aunt Roxanne and Uncle Bruce's old house.  I'm going to go ahead and do a few pictures incase someone has not seen it.
Huge living room.  I know I have not taken my Christmas stuff down yet, but I just get so sad to take it down.  I love Christmas decorations!
The living room looking from the kitchen. (Much more space for Jaycee to roll around.)
 The dining room area
Living room again looking from the hallway
Jaycee's room.  I want to paint it the same as her old room but I don't know if it will ever get done.  I like it this way too, but I really miss her old room colors!

A huge closet for a little girl to fill with tons of clothes!
We must not forget that Griengo loves his new home too.  He likes the window seat.
The kitchen.  Justin built us that awesome new table, I just have to finish it now.
 Our room.
Huge backyard for Jaycee & Griengo to play!
