Swimsuit Issue

I'm a little behind on blogging.  We have been super busy the past couple weeks baling hay, but it actually rained us out and I have a little bit of free time so I'm updating my blog finally.  And by raining us out, I mean like a tenth of rain.  Maybe this week we'll actually get some, but thats a whole different issue.  A couple weeks ago Jaycee got to go to her first swimming party.  Our friends' little boy, Daltyn, turned 5 and had a swimming party.  Jaycee actually kind of liked the water.  It was so cold and I figured she'd hate it, but she actually kicked her feet even but thats about it.

Me and Jaycee with her little floaty.
She was still kind of small for it but it worked good enough.  She must have liked the water because ever since she went swimming she has been splashing and playing in her bath at night; it's so cute!

At the park with Daddy after swimming.

Daltyn blowing out his candles!
Sorry I only had my little camera and it is not the best at taking pictures.

The next day we went to my Aunt Roxanne and Uncle Bruce's for the evening and got to hang out with my cousins - Elliot, Cherry, and Lofton, from Nashville.  We were so excited to get to see them finally.
This is Jaycee's new smile.  When she is super excited she just opens her mouth as big as possible, it is really cute!

Swinging in Lofton's big kid swing.

Watching Lofton play in the water.

Glad to finally meet cousin Cherry.

Full of Surprises

The day before yesterday I was doing the dishes and left Jaycee laying on her tummy taking a nap or so I thought....

All of a sudden I heard her grunting and making noise and I turned around to find this!
Jaycee had crawled/scooted or somehow made it to here.  Maybe Griengo dragged her, I'm still not sure what happened.

Also she rolled over for the first time on purpose the other night and has done it several times since then but I kept missing it, and when I would put her back on her tummy she would just get mad and lay there.  But today I finally caught her roll over and even caught it on video on my phone so I hope this works.

Soon to come is pictures from Daltyn's swimming party and pictures of when cousins Elliott, Cherry, & Lofton came in and met Jaycee for the first time.

Lately

A couple weeks ago me, Justin, and Jake went to the lake.  We were planning on Jaycee getting to go too, but it had been so hot here this summer we were too worried about her and had to leave her at home with Aunt Roxanne and Nonni.  I was pretty sad because she even had a cute little bathing suit that now she has outgrown and never worn but oh well we will get to wear another cute little bathing suit this weekend at our friend Dalton's swimming birthday party. (I'll try to take pics and post soon)Sorry we don't have a picture together but my camera died before we could.  And I'm not sure how to get these pictures back in the center but oh well I guess.

Last week we went to the fair and Jaycee loved getting to be outside and see so many people.
Jaycee with Skyla, Shelby, and Auntie Dev

Jaycee looking through a Kaliedoscope at the fair.

I finally got a smart phone a week ago and I love it!!  My favorite thing to do is take pictures of our little cutie and send them to her daddy.  The rest of these pictures are off my phone.

 Sitting in our bumbo
Having sweet dreams while helping Momma plow
 Tummy time
Auntie Dev: "Cover up her hoohoo"
Jaycee: "Cover up who?"
Actually looking at and holding our little ducky
Glad Auntie Dev came and helped with bath time!

3 months!

Last week Jaycee turned 3...months that is!  I cannot believe it has already been 3 months.  Time has just flown by.  It is so sad and I know it will just get worse.  We are at the stage where Jaycee is just such a happy girl.  She is so fun in the morning especially right after she wakes up.  She's a morning person, I think she gets that from her daddy.

My favorite!

I think she's been watching Griengo too much and sticking out her tongue.

This is what we look like most of the time because her little teeth still have not popped through!  I have a feeling we're going to be teething for quite some time, but it doesn't seem to bother her.  She just chews on her hands a lot and drools.

A couple weeks ago we went to Pecos for a fly-in and to see the farm.  It was Jaycee's first time to go to Pecos.  There is little haygrazer growing there now.

I absolutely love getting to spend the day with these two.  I think this is my favorite picture ever.

At 3 months Jaycee is:
-Still sleeping through the night...and sleeping in most the time. (yay)
-Wants to be a non-napper in the afternoon and it is driving Momma crazy.  She gets so cranky by nightime, but she hates to take a nap in the afternon and will just lay there for an hour awake in her bed just hanging out.  It was funny the first day...now not so much.
-When we do take naps, loves to sleep on her belly.
-Likes to suck on our fingers, never our thumb, and not particularly fond of the paci but will try to suck as many fingers as possible.
-Likes you to let her stand in your lap
-Hates to be held facing you, but has to be held facing outward.  We don't want to miss anything going on.  I miss my little cuddler.
-Loves her playmat and is grabbing some of the toys and loves any toys that make noise.
-Our biggest fascination is fans!  She loves watching fans.
-Can hold her head up so good now.  She is just almost there to holding it up completely by herself.
-Loves her Praise Baby CD in the car

There is so much going on in our little girl's life right now its hard to document it all.  She is so fun now and I know it is just going to get more fun as she keeps growing and getting to the next step.

Gummy smile...not for long!

I cannot believe this little sweetie is getting TEETH!  Already!  It seems so weird to me.  I feel like she should not be getting them til she is almost 1 year old, but I guess I'm way wrong.  Her bottom front two teeth are trying to come in.  I constantly check and feel to see if I am just imagining this.  But I do see two little lines and you can feel them so I guess I'm not imagining it.  She also has been super awake lately, drooling, and yesterday afternoon she was really fussy.

But today she sure has been happy!  Too bad I couldn't get a pic of her gums.

Rockstar!

Shelby entertained her this afternoon.  She was all smiles.

I guess she must be feeling better because she has just been the happiest baby all day today.  I sure hope we're over that teething for now.  I didn't like her hurting...poor thing.

2 Months...Already!

I'm going to go ahead and warn you now that this is going to be a little out of order, but I just cannot get over the fact that our little girl is now 2 months old!  It does not seem possible.  Me and Devanee took her to the doctor for her two month checkup last week.  Jaycee had to get 4 shots! (yikes!)  I was so nervous about her shots, but she only cried for a minute and was fine, but it was the first time I had ever seen teardrops come out of her eyes so I pretty much wanted to cry because I know they must have hurt.  The poor thing.  I'm happy to say that Miss Jaycee is growing great and now weighs almost 10 pounds and is 23 inches long!
Devanee giving Jaycee a kiss after her long day.  See her war wound on her leg.  Hehe she got "The Hulk" bandaids. (too cute!)
Last weekend us and Jaycee went to our friends, Jordan and Erin's, engagement party.  They are getting married in Jamaca next week and we unfortunately will not be able to make that trip.  Jaycee was such a party animal and was completely worn out by the time we got home.  She stayed awake the entire time, I think she was afraid she'd miss something.

Here are just a few of her 2 month pictures that I took last week.  I'm afraid the poor child is going to have no memories of her first two months of life. Lol.
Sorry but I just had to put all these pictures on here.  She is just too adorable not to.

I was so sad that she was not a fan of be stuck in a flower pot because I just know they could have made the cutest pictures ever.  She still looks pretty cute though even if she isn't smiling.

This is where this post gets so out of order.  At the very first of the month our cousins, Kyle & Courtney, and their daughter, Leighton, got to some in for a visit.  Leighton was so sweet with Jaycee.  She wanted to give her kisses.
Shane also was able to come in and it was so nice to get to see all of them since we never get to see them.  We're missing Elliott, Cherry, & Lofton but at least we get to see them in a couple weeks :)
The first weekend in the month Jaycee got to go to her first wedding of our friends, Kris & Tonya.
Family photo at the wedding.  It was so hot that day, I think Jaycee was miserable, but it was a beautiful wedding.
Justin with Jaycee on the 4th of July!

We had a cookout at our house for the 4th of July and Jaycee had her first horrible night.  I guess I must have ate something she did not like the night before because she just cried and screamed ad screamed for hours.  I did not know what to do and I felt ssooooo bad for her.  It was horrible.  She had never had a night like that or ever acted anything like that before.  We have been so lucky she has just been the best baby ever.  We finally gave her bath and got her to go to bed and amazingly she just slept fine.  But it was the cutest thing ever...Breely was holding Jaycee's hand while she was crying laying beside her.  It was so sweet.
But as Jaycee has not acted like that since.  She has really been such a happy little baby lately and having lots of smiles!  She has been sleeping through the night for about two weeks now, which is so nice!  She is also more active, alert, and awake more during the day.  It is just so much fun to watch her grow and change each day, but also sad because I'm not sure I want her to grow up so fast!
Sorry this post was so long too.  I'll really try not to let it get so long and out of control next time :)
