Goodbye white...

Since the weather has been cold, snowy, and muddy here for the past couple weeks there has not been much I have wanted to do outside so that means it was time to clean the house. Well I can only clean so much before I get sick of it. So I finished painting our house. I had already painted our kitchen, office, and guest room but still desperately needed to paint the living room and our bedroom. When we moved in to this house every single wall in the house was white but not for long. I painted our living room a burnt orange color called "Burled Redwood" but it looks burnt orange to me. Our bedroom that I just got finished with, I painted like a denim blue called "Thunderhead". I'm telling you the colors because my camera doesn't take the best indoor pictures and who knows what colors they are going to look like on there. So now I only like painting our bathroom and laundry room. I was going to start on the bathroom today which is going to be a light yellow/goldish/creamy color, but maybe Thursday I will instead.
The blue really isn't that dark or purpley but that the best my camera took. Sorry

  1. Mikayla, it looks so good!! I heard you were finally able to get Justin to move that mammoth desk out of the living room :) I'm proud of you for painting every room! That's a big undertaking!

  4. Wow! It looks great Mikayla! I need to get over and see it first hand when it dries up a little! Did you get new living room furniture or does it just look different with the room painted? The bedroom looks great in that blue! Did you do a before and after picture?

  5. Thanks Grandma! Aunt Roxanne, no I did not get new furniture its just rearranged and no desk so it seems different. We are fixing to get a new recliner though because it broke the other day and now it is a little cockeyed! No I didn't do before and after. I wish I would have on every room I just didn't think about it.
