Viva Las Vegas!

The first week of December we went to Vegas for the Finals.  This year we decided to fly ourselves so we had to leave a day early and come home a day later because of the weather.  It was a four hour flight to Laughlin, where we flew into which was only an hour drive from Vegas.  We had a ton of fun and I'll just let the pictures tell the story because this may be a lengthy blog.

I turned my shutter speed up on my camera and finally caught two of the arms on the propeller.
 Our handsome pilot
And the co-pilot
The next few pictures are before and afters (on our way out to Vegas and on our way home from Vegas)

The mountains at Albuquerque

Jaycee the first night we were in Laughlin practicing our sitting up, which she can sent pretty well now I might add.

Family picture at the Mandalay Bay after going to a Cowboy Christmas there.
Auntie Dev and Aaron at the Mandalay Bay

Mommy and Jaycee in front of the fish tank at our hotel at the Golden Nugget.
Me and Justin hanging out on Freemont Street
Auntie Dev, Jaycee, and Mommy downtown
This is what Jaycee looked like every night when we would go out because it was so cold there!
She was just in awe of all the lights and people.  She never made much expression, but she sure did study everything.
Auntie Dev and Aaron doing the Zip-Line down Freemont Street.  Me, Justin, Aaron, and Charles went earlier that day but I don't have the picture on the computer now.
On our way back to Laughlin we stopped by the Hoover Dam because we had never been.  (Well Justin had been once when he was little, but he really didn't remember much)
This was as close as we could get to getting all three of us in a picture there.  Sorry Jaycee for cutting you off!

Such a sweet picture of Jaycee and her Daddy!
Back at Laughlin waiting on the rest of the crew to get there and go eat.
At supper in Laughlin
Jaycee absolutely loved Aaron!

1/2 Year Old!

I CANNOT believe that our little girl is already 6 months old.
 Time sure flew by.

At six months Jaycee has a full range of voices that she practices on a regular basis.
She has been rolling over back to front since 5 months, but I think she decided that she was over that because she has not done it for over 2 weeks now. (I hope she didn't forget how!)
Jaycee is definitely interested in whatever me or her Daddy are doing at all time; well that is until Griengo or Lexi come around and then we are all about watching the dogs.  Speaking of the dogs, Jaycee now grabs the toy out of Griengo's mouth.  It is really cute.
At Jaycee's six month appointment on Tuesday, she weighed 14 lbs, 2 oz and was 26 inches tall.  She is a little petite girl and I love it, I don't care if she's at the bottom of the charts just as long as she's healthy.  At the doctor's office she was screaming (happy voice) the whole time and the doctor and nurses just thought she was a hoot!  It was pretty funny.
Today Jaycee got to help Daddy in the barn and I'm pretty sure he is going to be the favorite after using the torch and all the power tools.  She just loved it!  I guess Mommy's vacuum cleaner is no longer that cool...

A week ago we went and visited our friends, Kyle & Kylee and their kids - Daltyn, Aspyn, & Breely.
We always have such a good time with them and getting to watch the kids interact and play.

Breely can crawl now and just wanted to tackle Jaycee!
Breely loved having someone her own size to play with.  It won't be too long and Jaycee will be able to play back!
Jaycee says, "Just wait Breely, paybacks coming!"

October 2011

I know this is a much needed blog update and it is going to be lengthy so I'll keep it short and let the pictures tell what has been going on.  We have been so busy baling this month that I have barely had any time to take pictures or get on this computer.

At the first of October it rained just a little so we flew to Ruidoso for a day just to get away and relax.

Jaycee's as close to a 5 month picture that we have.  (Just a week off)
 Relaxing with Daddy.
Looking out the airplane north of Texico.
Jaycee was a little jet lagged after the trip.
We finally started Jaycee on food a week or so ago.  She was beginning to sleep only 9 to 10 hours at night and after she started on food she is back to sleeping 11 hours at night.  (I know, we are extremely blessed!)
Jaycee was a lobster for Halloween.
Trick or treating at Granny & Papaw's before church Sunday.

Went trick or treating at Grandma Kay's after church

Trick or treating at Aunt Lollie's and Uncle B-paw's

I don't know which one was happier, Pappy or Jaycee?

Auntie Dev with the little lobster.
Starting to get tired of the lobster suit but that lip is just too stinkin cute!
 Family pic!
That puppy, Bart, made her much happier!

I couldn't decide which one I liked the best!

Sorry Grumps & Nonni I don't have the Halloween pictures from your house yet.  Reece trick or treated too and we got some pretty cute pictures of the lobster and a little black kitty.

The Voice...

Last weekend Tyrell & Kaylee, and Tanner, LaDonna, & Aspen came over to visit.  Jaycee really enjoyed getting to see Aspen.  She talked her ear off.  I'm pretty sure that Aspen was wandering what in the world she was and why in the world she was so loud.  I'm thinking that Jaycee is going to be a talker like her Daddy.
Aspen & Jaycee look like the same size until you pick them up and I'm pretty sure that Aspen weighs at least two pounds more!  Jaycee has a high metabolism I've decided or either she just works out too much!
Yes, I do realize that my child only has one sock on.  Didn't notice 'til after I had taken all their pictures.

I am probably the only on who thinks this picture is so cute, but I just thought she looked adorable with her hands/fingers almost entwined right.

And this is Jaycee's new voice...She just started this high pitch sqeal yesterday.  I thought it was so cute until Justin made me think about it more...What if she decides to show off this voice in church?!? Looks like I might get to outside with her.  Also what if this means she's going to have a high pitch voice like Auntie Dev??  Oh well at least it won't be a manly voice then.  And just kidding Auntie Dev, you know we love you!

4 months!

Jaycee on her 4 month birthday!
Since Jaycee has been constantly rolling over now...this is how she sleeps a lot of the time.

This is our freaked out look.  Her eyes get super big and she throws her arms out.  Random things startle her now.  She especially freaks out when she's been sleeping hard and she wakes up and we're in a new place.
 Loves her tummy!
At 4 months Jaycee...:
-Rolls over!
-Likes TV now
-Can hold and grab some of her toys
-Favorite toys: Jumper, jumper activity center, or anything that she can sit up in and watch everything going on
-Still teething...(thats all I'm going to say)
-Sleeps 10 to 12 hours at night (How did I get so lucky???)

Last weekend Justin was in a wedding for one of his friends, Cale, so we spent the weekend in Lubbock.
At the rehearsal being the life of the party.  She got to meet Louise Hawkins who loved her!
Jaycee with her handsome Daddy after the wedding.
Finally a family picture! Thank you so much Wendy for taking our picture!
 The bride and groom!

I know this is out of order but I need to include it.  Auntie Dev had a birthday on September 10th and of course Jaycee had to help her celebrate.
Jaycee with the birthday girl...Yes I know her bow is a little much
Jaycee with Shelby and Auntie Dev
Me and Kalee.  It was more of a girl party so Justin didn't come.
